USSD MOBILE BANKING CODES FOR NIGERIAN BANKS.

USSD stands for Unstructured Supplementary Service Data. Its a set
of end-to-end codes that GSM users employ to communicate with their
operators. USSD codes are faster than SMS because they offer you real
time communication with your operator, and with that comes instant
response. USSD codes are used by GSM users for checking their airtime
balance, borrowing airtime, subscribing and unsubscribing from
services, purchasing products and…banking too.
Below is a list of a few Nigerian Banks and their USSD codes.

FIRST BANK USSD CODE.
Probably the first bank to introduce USSD banking in Nigerian,
First Bank has since expanded their USSD mobile banking service,
making it faster and more responsive. Their USSD banking code is
*894#. Dial *894#, register a 5-digit PIN and you are good to go. You
can transfer funds, recharge your phone, check your balance, check
your statement etc.
You can also use ‘add-ons’ to the USSD code, to access service
quickly. For example to check your balance, dial *894*00#. To buy
airtime, dial *894*amount#. To recharge another mobile phone number,
dial *894*amount*mobilenumber#

GTBANK USSD CODE.
Guarantee Trust Bank introduced their USSD service in April 2015, and
it offers a lot of services to their customers. They include: airtime
recharge, fund transfer to even other banks, opening a GTBank account
right on your mobile phone, check your account balance anywhere,
anytime, check your statement. The USSD code for GTBank is *737#.
For example to open a GTBank account on your phone, dial
*737*0# and follow the on-screen prompts. To check your account
balance, dial *737*6*1#. Follow on-screen prompts and instruction. For

ZENITH BANK USSD CODE.
Zenith Bank offers you quick access to their mobile services at a go,
with the USSD code. Dial *966#, to view the USSD service menu for
Zenith Bank. You can also create an account right on your mobile for
free with Zenith USSD. To create an account, dial *966*0#, follow the
on-screen prompts, and you wll have details of a new account sent to
you by SMS. To check balance on any of your Zenith Bank accounts, dial
*966*00#. You can also load airtime, dial *966*amount*mobilenumber#.

DIAMOND BANK USSD CODE.
The diamond bank USSD code for recharging your phone, checking your
bank account balance and statement is *302#. To recharge on your
mobile phone, dial *302*amount#. For users of the diamond y’ello
account( a sort of diamond bank account that can be open on mobile)
dial *710*amount#.
Note: you can open a diamond y’ello account on your phone, dial
*710# to get started. For MTN users only!

ACCESS BANK USSD CODE.
As far as you have a fully functional and funded Savings or current
account and a phone number registered with Access Bank, you can
recharge, check your account balance, statement and other services.
Dial 901#, set up your login details and you are good to go. Too bad,
you can only recharge just your number(the number registered with
access bank). Meaning that you cannot buy airtime for other mobile
numbers, for now.

FIRST CITY MONUMENT BANK(FCMB) USSD CODE.
To recharge, check your account balance and bank statement on the FCMB
USSD service, dial *322*214#. To recharge, dial *322*214*amount# and
send from your mobile phone. Note, your mobile number must be
registered with FCMB and must be linked to the account you are
recharging from.

FIDELITY BANK USSD CODE.
Fidelity Bank has introduced the *770# USSD banking code for its
customers. Customers can now quickly check their account balance,
withdraw without their ATM cards, transfer funds to third party
banks(accounts outside Fidelity) and even do e-wallet based
transactions. Customers can also recharge their mobile phones too.

SKYE BANK USSD CODE.
For Skye Bank customers, you can access the Skye Bank USSD mobile
banking menu, dial *833# to activate. For quick recharge, dial
*833*amount#. Note: mobile number must be registered with Skye Bank.

UNITED BANK OF AFRICA(UBA) USSD CODE.
For UBA customers, you can access the your bank’s USSD service on your
mobile phone with the U-mobile banking service. The U-mobile USSD code
is *919#. You can transfer funds to accounts in other banks, recharge
your phone, view your balance and also find the latest products and
service offerings from UBA Bank. Dial *919# to get started.

ECO BANK USSD CODE.
Eco Bank USSD Mobile Money platform offers you a gateway to basic
banking services right on your GSM phone. You can now top up airtime
on your mobile phone, check your account balance, transfer funds,
without an internet coinnection. Dial *326# to get started with the
Eco Bank USSD mobile banking menu. Just like other USSD codes for
other banks, it works on Glo, Airtel, MTN, Etisalat. To recharge
airtime on your phone with Eco Bank USSD shortcode, dial *326*amount#.
Note, phone number must be registered with Eco Bank.

UNION BANK USSD CODE.
The USSD code for Union Bank is *389*032# you can recharge, check your
account balance on any of your accounts and also transfer funds
anywhere anytime. Dial *389*032# to get started.

UNITY BANK USSD CODE.
Unity Bank customers are not left out too. Unity Bank also runs a USSD
based mobile banking platform. To access the mobile banking on your
phone, dial *322*215# to get started on the menu.

HERITAGE BANK USSD CODE.
For Heritage Bank account holders, to transact on your mobile phone
while on the go, dial *322*030#. You can transfer funds, recharge/top
up on airtime, and also check your bank account balance.

KEYSTONE BANK USSD CODE.
For customers of KeyStone Bank, you can access the USSD mobile banking
platform, dial *322*082#(for MTN, AIRTEL and ETISALAT). For Glo users
the USSD is *805*082#. You can recharge, transfer funds, and check
your account balance. You wll be required to link your mobile number
with your account on the USSD platform, and you will also register a
4-digit PIN.

WEMA BANK USSD CODE
For Wema Bank customers, simply dial *322*035# to acces the mobile
banking platform. You can easily transfer funds, recharge your phone
and check your account balance on the go.

There are some other banks we could not cover here, because we
are not sure about the effectiveness of their USSD platform. Do you
