About a fortnight ago, telecom giants-Globacom added eight locations to the 4G lite network. Two days ago the netowk announced that it has added 16 more locations, making it the mobile network service provider with the biggest 4G LTE reach.
Globacom is really serious about hitting the top chart of the 4G LTE race, and doing it early. Just two weeks after adding eight (8) locations to their 4G LTE base, the mobile network provider has gone on to add 16 more 4G LTE hotspots. The new locations are spread out across Lagos, Ogun, Abuja and Rivers States.
The other 13 new locations are Ikeja, Oregun, Opebi and Isolo in Lagos, Redemption Camp in Ogun State; Rukpokwu, Rumuibekwe, Eleme Junction, Woji, Eliozu, and Rumuigbo in Port Harcourt, Rivers State as well as Mpape and Utako in Abuja.
Key tertiary institutions in the added locations include: Babcock university, Illishan(Ogun State); Lagos State University, Ojo(Lagos), Reddeemers University, Ede(Osun State).
Following the new development, Glo subscribers in these 33 locations can now enjoy browsing speeds several times faster than 3G and also download/stream ultra high definition videos seamlessly. Subscribers on the Glo 4G lite network also enjoy so many incentives, including access to millions of music and videos/movies on demand.
To enjoy the Glo 4G LTE network, subscribers are required to buy a Glo 4G LTE SIM or swap the existing SIM for a 4G enabled SIM. After which you can dial *777# to buy a data plan. You can also find out if 4G network is available in your area from the *777# option menu.
Available 4G data bundles include N500 for a whopping 1.6GB of data, N1000 for 3.2GB data and 7.5GB for N2000. Others include 10GB for N2,500, 18GB for N4000 and 24GB for N5000.
