TECNO DROIDPAD 7D REVIEW.

Tecno 7D is more like a stripped down version of Tecno PhonePad3. Tecno 7D features a cheaper plastic covering as a replacement for a metallic panel cover. Generally, the phone has downgraded specs which makes it more affordable.

The tablet which features a 7.0inch, IPS display with 600 x 1024 resolution is reserved mainly for entry level buyers. It also features a 1GB RAM, which means the phone might struggle with handling high end games, or running multiple memory consuming apps.

As for the camera, Tecno 7D features a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera, moderate enough for selfies. Both cameras feature front LED flash. At least, the rear camera is a cool upgrade from the 2MP rear camera offered by Tecno 7C pro.

Tecno 7D runs Android 7.0 on a 1.5GHz quadcore, powered by 1GB RAM. The phone may not be good enough for power users, but if all you do is stream videos and surf the net, it you will be fine. My experience with the phone, playing Shadow Fight 2, wasn’t so bad though, but it was far from perfect too.

The phone supports other features like:

  • Dual SIM slots
  • Dedicated SD card slots (supports up to 32GB)
  • 16GB internal memory
  • GSM, 2G, 3G
  • WiFi
  • WiFi direct
  • Bluetooth
  • Micro USB

Surprisingly the battery capacity remains the same with that of its predecessors- 7C and 7C pro.

The phone has a not-so-good 300mAh battery on-board. For a 7.0 inch screen, I would say the battery capacity is poor. However, it is a low budget phone.
