Few days ago, Glo became the third mobile telecom operator operator to roll out it’s own 4G lite data plans, after MTN and nTel. This of course is a brave move from the network, considering the fact the network is as sluggish anything.

Glo 4G lite service is currently in 9 major cities in Nigeria- Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Jo’s, Yola, Zaria, Benin, Eket, Warri. And according to their twitter handle, more cities are coming soon. Well, I’m not passing on a vote of confidence on this network by encouraging you to try their 4G lite. I know how bad it really is, But there is actually no harm in trying if your location falls within these nine zones. You can dial *777# to find out if your location has 4G lite service.

To get on Glo’s 4G lite network, all you need to do is get a new 4G lite SIM from any Glo support center, or you can swap your SIM for a 4G lite enable SIM(and still retain your number). Put in the 4G lite SIM into a 4G lite enable phone,  dial *777# and explore the options on the menu.

You can find a list of all plans available on Glo 4G lite network here

Have a nice day! Don’t forget to tell your friends about this!
