Overland Airways was incorporated on September 17, 1998. It is an airline registered to operate charter and scheduled flights. Its main hub is at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos. Aero has two maim service operations units- the fixed wing which handles passenger flights on airliners, and the rotary wing comprising of a fleet of helicopters, for private operations and oil and gas surveys.

Arik is the most prominent airline in Nigeria and has the highest patronage. Its two hubs are located in Lagos and Abuja. Arik was established in 2002 and has continued to expand its operations as an aviation giant in Nigeria and Africa. Arik handles domestic, regional and international flight routes.
