Few days ago,  Tecno launched the Camon X  and the Camon X Pro,  adding them to its impressive Camon series. The Camon X and Camon X pro were launched with three other mid-ranged phones during the Spring Launch in Lagos.

On the front of the phone,  you’ll find the 6.0 inch HD screen,  the 20MP front camera,  speaker,  dual LED flash. At the back,  you’ll find the 16MP camera,  the quad LED flash set and back-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Something New?

At the top of the phone,  there is practically nothing there. The micro USB charging port,  earphone jack and speakers are down. This is happening for the first time in the Camon series.

Also the left side of the phone is bare too. The power button,  volume buttons and SIM card trays are all on the right.

The Card tray is built to contain two nano SIM cards and a micro SD card. The small hole will be used to eject the SIM card tray with the aid of the ejector tool(or a pin or needle).

Other features:

The 2A wall charger, comes with a 2 fit detachable USB power cable.

A rather stylish and efficient pair of earphones.

Conclusion :

The phone is cool,  handles well,  but we are yet to deeply test its abilities and flaws in real time applications. One amazing feature of the phone apart from its cameras is the  facial ID.  Tecno claims this feature is more efficient than the fingerprint sensor.  The fingerprint sensor also acts as the button for the camera shutter.

As for the price,  the phone isn’t up for sale yet. But should be available  very soon. However it shouldn’t cost more than N70,000.
